5-Ton Coiling & Winding Machine

The 8 Ton coiling and winding machine is capable of handling the biggest drums available in South Africa. Due to the size, the 8 Ton coiling machine consists of two sections. This machine is of sturdy design which will increase efficiency and productivity in the cable yard. The 8 Ton coiling and winding machine allows for the following operations to be executed and would be inclusive of all tooling required to execute operations:

• Winding from drum to drum or drum to coil
• Hydraulic lifting on both sections
• Forward and reverse speed controlling by AC inverter
• Automatic cut out measuring meter

Electrical requirements is for one 380 volt 3 phase 7, 50 kilowatt ac motor requiring a starter complete with overload protection of 17 AMP mounted as close as possible to the machine. Sufficient cable is required from the starter to the machine. This is the customer’s responsibility together with supplying a suitable slab or floor area to fix and attach the machine.
